Yes, there is a story behind these pictures...I was busy trying to get things done around the house and the K-man needed something to do. I gave him my camera and he was busy for about thirty minutes. There were wonderful pictures of toys, plants, fans, and laundry... But these were my favorites! Hee Hee! I just laugh looking at them!

SPT- Something...
Something Blue: My K-man's eyes!!! It's so unique that K-man has big blue eyes because neither me nor my adorable husband has blue eyes! When he was a baby we kept waiting for his "baby blues" to disappear, but they only got bigger and more blue!

SPT- Something New
The SPTs for this month are all related to the phrases often heard around weddings:Tuesday, may 6 something old
Tuesday, may 13 something new
Tuesday, may 20 something borrowed
Tuesday, may 27 something blue
Do you see what I see in this picture?!? ...On the way "home" (to my parent's house in South Texas) I spotted a special find on the side of the road and I made a mental note to make a stop there on the trip home on Monday.
Yes, my something new is this little wooden flamingo! I spotted her driving 70ish miles an hour-Ha! She was at a tiny shop on the side of the road! I love fun, unexpected finds like this! Now- it's all about the name...
What 's a good name for my good natured little pink gal?
Where do you think you will find her?

Today is something old...No, it's not just a picture of me!
Look up-It's the pink Texas A&M cap! I have had this cap since college -YIKES! Yes, this poor little pink cap is around 10 years old! The sad thing is it's totally my "go to" for bad hair days, quick dress days, outdoor days...actually when I think about it, when am I not wearing it??!!Every girl needs a good (Old) cap!
What is your something old?
Do you wear caps?

SPT- Going Geen
Ok, I know I'm a day late, but I don't think Lelly will mind, right? Basically this SPT for this week has to do with what we are doing for our earth... (Earth Day was yesterday, April 22nd).What got our family thinking green was the concept that we have been teaching both our boys since they were born~ "God made the world and everything in it". Hmmm... If God made the world and we love God, how should we live our lives to be pleasing to him? Hmmm...Take care of the blessing He has created around us! This thought can continue going in many areas BUT TODAY let's stick with being green~

What was I thinking?!?~ SPT
Tuesday, April 8, 2008
when you are cleaning the kitchen, or sitting on the playground, driving the carpool, browsing through target...what's going on behind you? something funny? colorful? disturbing? tempting?Tuesday, March 18, 2008

My feet always guide me back here...at home with my boys! My perspective on life has really changed since "The Move" almost a year ago. I have had the chance to truly focus on my family and our relationships because that was all I had...AND I have learned that having my boys is enough for me (with a sprinkle of girl time here and there!).
What a cute feet family I have-Ha!

SPT- Whats in a Name?

Ok, this is my first attempt to get in on the fun of SPT. If you would like to learn more, check it out Here .
Today's SPT was to share about the "name" of your blog ... To keep this post short my First Post describes a lot of where the name "forever flamingo" originated.
Basically, WE flamingos are a group of girls that have become the "Ya-Ya's"! Over the years (about 7 years now!)we have become the best of friends. We have been through A LOT!!! About 7 months ago (when I started this blog) we were moving from Houston to this very small little community about 6 hours away from my flamingos. Blogging was one way that I was going to let them know what I was up to while also getting to experience their day to day lives too. It has been fun. None of us have skipped a beat! I will always...FOREVER be a FLAMINGO!
Now when you are a flamingo...you have to love pink (or just have fun with the color)and you have to have flamingos all over your Laundry Room (Ok...that is the only place my adorable husband allows my obsession-Ha!).
How did you name your blog????
